Ten years ago, Mitch Albom wrote
a small book about the last days of his beloved
professor's life to help pay the man's medical
bills. Ten years later, that small book, "Tuesdays
With Morrie," is the most successful
memoir of all time, having sold more than
13 million copies worldwide.
On October 23, Albom and Doubleday Books will celebrate the occasion by releasing
a special 10-year anniversary edition of "Tuesdays" that will include
a special "Afterword" from Albom, who, until now, hasn't written
anything new about his mentor and friend, Morrie Schwartz. In these new pages,
Albom looks at the enormous effects of "Morrie" since it's publication
in 1997. He shares personal thoughts on how Morrie's wisdom has forever changed
him and others. And he talks about the positive feedback he's received – and
continues to receive - from every corner of the globe.
Augie Nieto is
the gentleman with ALS who was recently featured on 'The Dr. Phil Show'
in which Mitch discussed the 10th anniversary of 'Tuesdays With Morrie.'
